Before you jump to My BCT coleslaw recipe recipe, you may want to read this short interesting healthy tips about Choosing Wholesome Fast Food.
Just about any article you read about improving your health or losing weight is going to tell you to ignore the drive through and cook all of your meals instead. This is really very true. Occasionally, though, the last thing you choose is to have to make a meal from scratch. Sometimes you just wish to hit the drive through on the way home and call it a day. There is no reason that you simply shouldn’t be able to do that once in a while and be free of the guilt usually associated with “diet slips”. This is because most famous fast food restaurants out there are trying to “healthy up” their menus. Here is how you can find appropriate food choices at the drive through.
Pick out a drive through with a restaurant which is known for catering to people with healthier palates. For example, Arby’s does not serve hamburgers. Instead, a person’s options include things like roast beef and chicken sandwiches, wraps and big salads. Wendy’s, obviously, is known for its square burgers, but the menu there has lots of healthful choices like salad, potatoes and chili. Most fast food dining places will not stoop to the unhealthy lows seen at McDonalds.
Simple sense states that the proper way to lose pounds and get healthy is to ban fast food from your diet altogether. Most of the time this is a good concept but if you make great choices, there is no reason you can’t visit your drive through from time to time. Sometimes the thing you need most is just to have somebody else do the cooking. If you choose healthy items, the shame usually associated with hitting the drive through shouldn’t be so bad.
