The ingredients needed to prepare Spicy Lauki Curry:
  1. Use 1 Cup boiled Lauki pieces
  2. Get 2 tbsp oil
  3. Provide 3 cloves
  4. Use 1 ' Cinnamon stick
  5. Get 1 green chilli chopped
  6. Prepare 7-8 curry leaves
  7. Prepare 3 garlic cloves
  8. Provide 1 Onion chopped
  9. Use 1 tomato chopped
  10. Provide to taste Salt
  11. Prepare 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  12. Get 1/2 tsp red chilli Powder
  13. You need 1 tsp dhania jeera powder
  14. You need 1/4 tsp garam masala
  15. Prepare 1 tbsp Roasted peanuts coarsely ground
  16. Prepare 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  17. Get 1 pinch asafoetida
  18. Use leaves Coriander
Instructions to make Spicy Lauki Curry:
  1. Peel Lauki/bottle gourd,make pieces,add little water and pressure Cook for 3 whistles.In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil, add cloves,cinnamon,chopped green chilli,curry leaves.Saute for a while.Then add chopped onion and garlic cloves.Add little salt and saute till Onion becomes soft.
  2. Now add tomato.keep stirring and Saute till they become mushy.Off the flame.Take out the mixture in a Plate and let it cool.
  3. In a blender jar,add the Onion tomato mixture and blend into fine paste.In a pan Heat oil.Add Cumin seeds and paste.Saute it for 6-7 secs.Add salt,Turmeric powder,red chilli powder,garam masala,dhaniajeera powder.Saute well till it gives the flavour.Add 2 Cups water.Now add 1 tbsp Roasted peanuts powder.Mix well and let it cook.
  4. When it starts boiling,add Boiled lauki pieces and mix well.Cover and let it cook for 5-7 min on LOW flame.Now add Coriander leaves.Mix it.Spicy,flavourful Lauki curry is ready to serve.
  5. Serve it hot with fulka rotis or rice.
